The Italian Serie A club have confirmed the signing of the 32-year-old attacker in the ongoing transfer window.
Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng has officially joined ACF Fiorentina from fellow Serie A side US Sassuolo.
The 32-year-old has joined the Florence based club on a two-year deal after passing a medical test at the club this morning.
The club’s official statement reads “ACF Fiorentina announces that it has purchased, outright, the sports performance rights of the player Kevin Prince Boateng from the US Sassuolo Calcio.”
He was approached by Eintracht Frankfurt, but decided to stay in Italy so he could work on reconciling with wife Melissa Satta.
He had just returned from a six-month loan spell with Barcelona where he made only four appearances.
Boateng has previously played for Hertha Berlin, AC Milan, Schalke 04, Broussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, Las Palmas and Tottenham.
