University of Ghana students’ leader wins 2019 Miss Malaika

The Junior Common Room Vice President of the Alexander Adum Kwapong Hall of the University of Ghana, Phyllis Vesta Boison, has been crowned winner of the 2019 edition of the Miss Malaika Ghana beauty pageant.

The Level 300 Accounting student prevailed over 16 other contestants over a three-month-long journey of smaller contests to win the much coveted crown at this years competition.

Phyllis, 19 years of age, walked away with a brand new Nissan Saloon Car and other prizes from the many sponsors of the event. She succeeds Mariam Owusu Poku, the winner of the previous edition in 2018.
