The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba, Prof. Mawutor Avoke has paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of the Effutu Traditional Area, Neenyi Ghartey VII on 7th June, 2016 as a way of strengthening ties with the traditional rulers of the land.
The Vice-Chancellor in a remark said the call was to introduce the new leadership of the University to the Omanhene and his sub-chiefs. He noted that every institution is situated within a community and it is appropriate to accord the necessary courtesies to the traditional rulers and people of the land. He was hopeful that the good relationship existing between the University and the Winneba community will grow to a much deeper and higher level.
On his part, the Omanhene of Effutu Traditional Area commended the delegation from UEW for the respect accorded them. He encouraged the University leadership to continue in its good work, and indicated that, Winneba is proud to host it.
