The District Chief Executive for Awutu Senya West in the Central region has invoked curses on Adom FM’s reporter, Kofi Agyei over what he described as an inaccurate reportage.
An aggrieved Samuel Abbey Armah claimed, the reporter deliberately interviewed some angry taxi drivers in the town who participated in the just ended Nation Sanitation Day exercise ‘just to hurl insults at him for non-performance’.
The drivers have vowed not to join the sanitation exercise again after Mr. Armah failed to provide them food and money as promised.
They also threatened to beat up the DCE if he comes to their lorry station next month to ask them to join the monthly cleaning exercise.
Even though the DCE was interviewed by Kofi Agyei for his side of the story, he [Armah] maintained that, the angle by the taxi drivers was “totally unnecessary”.
“You have spoken to the Minister, the chief and me about the issue; that is enough but since you know the taxi drivers will insult me, you went ahead to interview them” he fumed.
Samuel Abbey Armah warned Kofi Agyei and his colleague journalists in the region to be careful of the people they offend since they might end up dead like a fowl.
“Whatever you do on this earth, you will get your punishment so you journalists must be careful otherwise you will die like a fowl” he stressed.
